I Am Woman As I Am
I wear gowns now
Abhor the feeling of tight
I like the femininity they exude
My walk flows, I feel light.
My wonder has awakened
I delight in common day events
The wind becomes whispers
The trees my Goddess tents
My laugh is a scream of exuberance
It can go on for days and nights
My smile is a mysterious knowing
of my world filled with light.
My food is a ritual of nourishment
I feed my spirituality too
I’ve listened, so no longer partake
Of nourishment that is taboo.
I consistently celebrate
The people in my life
With a thought or a call
A kind word free from strife.
The quilted wonders of my life
Continually please and amaze me
With their antics and passion
As I delight in each discovery.
My home is my castle
A house fit for a goddess
I’ve purified and given it peace
My home, filled with kindness.
My sexual me, before,
Such shame and caution
Approval of friendships and self
Now allows me to blossom.
I am woman as I am
The witches, goddesses, shamans
Bequeath millennia of strength
From a foundation never broken.
My spirituality continues to embrace
The Feminine Divine
Not usurper or warrior
But partners in time.
I celebrate my life
With Goddess presence
I live my life
In Goddess essence.
